Hip-Hop has gone global! Time to celebrate the 30year anniversary of the culture and just how important this common cultural current is. This unique three-day event aims to do just that, celebrate & educate. The weekend boasts a line up of performers from Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Haiti, India, Mexico, Iraq, Korea, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Australia, France, Uganda, and more. Performances will be in more than seven languages, Spanish, Swahili, and Portuguese among them. Fresh and multi-lingual! Along with film, art, live graffiti & b-boying there is something for all.

There will be several award-winning Hip-Hop documentaries being screened as well as spoken word and dance performances. Add world-renowned lecturer! s, artists leading discussions on the future of Hip-Hop music and c culture, the role Hip-Hop plays in increasing social and political awareness, and women in Hip-Hop, and the weekend will most definitely be far more than just a show. "We're planning a weekend celebration of diverse music, dance, film, and spoken word traditions," says Magee McIlvaine a current Trinity student lead organizer. Well put Magee, it will be crazy fun.
