Cano was voted 2005 American League Rookie of the Year by the Latino Sports Writers & Broadcasters Association for the 17th Annual Latino MVP Awards Luncheon and it took place right in the Great Moments Room of Yankee Stadium. And a Great Moment it was! In the house was the biggest baseball executive on the planet, Brian Cashman!”
