Très bon concert de Willie Colon, même si je regrette qu'il n'ait pas joué plus de trombone et au moins un boogaloo...

Africando, vraiment bien, en tout cas cent fois mieux que le concert que j'avais vu à Bayonne y'a deux ans.

Son Reinas, bien mais j'ai préféré leur concert d'il y a trois/quatre ans sur le même festival.

Yamo Toro était en fait en featuring du combo du chanteur puerto-ricain Frankie Morales et de son combo "Mambo Of The Times"...

Manu Chao & Radio Bemba, décevant par rapport à la tournée Katumbi Expres avec Fermin Muguruza : pas de section de cuivres, pas de sound system, les morceaux des rappels assez répétitifs au final... Mais quelle entamme de concert ! Puissant !!!

Je n'ai pas vu les autres concerts (car c'est cher !), par contre les off à la Conga étaient vraiment de qualité (je ne suis arrivé qu'à partir du vendredi sur le festival). Grupo Mango (Paris) m'a le plus fait d'effet, refonte des zicos, nouveau répertoire et cela sonne très bien et très colombien ! La Sucursal SA de Barcelone vraiment très sympa aussi !!!

Alerta a sus delegados sobre el sistema nacional de justicia

Yautepec, Mor., 12 de agosto. Amnistía Internacional (AI) hizo un

llamado

a sus delegados en todo el mundo para que exijan que las autoridades mexicanas investiguen a fondo las "detenciones arbitrarias" y los

abusos y

violaciones a los derechos humanos cometidos contra activistas de los movimientos sociales de Oaxaca y San Salvador Atenco, estado de

México.

Durante la 28 Reunión del Consejo Internacional de AI, efectuada en

esta

ciudad, en el que participaron más de 400 delegados -provenientes de

70

países- del organismo de derechos humanos más importante a escala

global,

se informó mediante un documento sobre los casos de Germán Mendoza

Nube

(parapléjico) y Ramiro Aragón, ambos detenidos en Oaxaca; de José

Gregorio

Arnulfo Pacheco (quien padece una enfermedad degenerativa que lo

tiene en

silla de ruedas), Bárbara Italia Méndez (quien fue violada

sexualmente por

policías) y Pedro Alvarado Delgado, aprehendidos por los hechos en

San

Salvador Atenco, y del indígena Ricardo Ucán Ceca, aprehendido en

Yucatán

acusado de asesinato y a quien no se le proporcionó intérprete

durante el

proceso judicial en su contra.

En sus llamamientos, AI exhorta a sus delegados a exigir a las

autoridades

mexicanas investigaciones "imparciales, exhaustivas y sin demora"

sobre

las detenciones y agresiones contra los activistas.

"Los siguientes casos de llamamiento ilustran la constante de

violaciones

a derechos humanos cometidas dentro del sistema de justicia penal y

de

seguridad pública en México", señala AI a sus delegados en el

documento, y

los remite al informe que presentó recientemente sobre el sistema de justicia penal mexicano.

AI subrayó que "en el sistema mexicano de justicia penal y de

seguridad

pública es común el uso de la tortura y los malos tratos durante la detención y para extraer una 'confesión'. A la mayoría de los

presuntos

delincuentes se les niega el acceso a la asistencia y representación letrada adecuada en el momento de la detención, cuando más peligro

corren

de sufrir tortura e intimidación.

"Las autoridades -continúa el informe- desestiman o ignoran de forma sistemática las denuncias de malos tratos bajo custodia y, cuando hay denuncias de tortura o malos tratos, la carga de la prueba recae

sobre la

víctima (...). Las personas sospechosas de haber cometido un delito a menudo son consideradas culpables hasta que se demuestra su

inocencia",

señaló AI. Lo cual va contra la presunción de inocencia, dijo.

Por ello, el organismo internacional exhortó a sus delegados a pronunciarse por que en estos casos se desarrollen las

investigaciones

correspondientes por los actos de tortura, violencia física,

sicológica y

sexual (el caso de las mujeres atenquenses), para que los

responsables

sean sancionados conforme a derecho.

Asimismo, AI recomienda que a todos los agraviados se les repare el

daño

infligido conforme a la normativa internacional en derechos humanos, además de que expresen su preocupación por los actos de tortura,

malos

tratos, agresiones sexuales y procesamientos "aparentemente

infundado"

contra éstos y otros activistas en el país.

PAPA WILSON presenta: SECRETOS DEL VATICANO (Vatican Classics 2003-2006) Por fin lo conseguimos. Hicieron falta 45 ex-soldados rusos, 6 ex-combatientes del IRA, un equipo de mercenarios libios, y una carretilla llena de producto colombiano, pero de una vez por todas el Papa cedió y nos hizo entrega de lo que para muchos era una leyenda urbana divulgada por algún fan renegado. “SECRETOS DEL VATICANO” ya está en nuestro poder. Este conjunto de grabaciones realizadas en el mítico estudio sevillano entre 2003 y 2006 sale a la luz con un improvisado pero brillante diseño de FISH. Escuchando este conjunto de canciones interpretadas por bastardos de la talla de S CURRO, VIRUSH, LIJERO, GORDOTOLOKO, TRAFIK, MAKEI, … podremos ver como entra por nuestras narices el gusano que precedió a la mariposa. S CURRO continúa cosechando éxitos con "Bipolar" El próximo día 25 estará de nuevo en Marchena (Sevilla) presentándolo en directo. Mientras tanto se prepara para "LITIO", su nuevo experimento de estudio, el disco con las remezclas de "Bipolar" de manos de diversos e importantes productores de todo el estado, que transformarán los temas de "Bipolar" en descargas eléctricas de Techno, Drum'n'Bass, Electro, Minimal, Dub-Ambient, Nü-Skool, etc. Destacados nombres como Erre y Vengeanze (ex – Kalashnikov), Joao Da Silva, Davo (Punto Final), K.T.R., Stormtrooperz, Serokah, Dr. Chekill, Valiente, Neo, Nerko (Barnabasstars), Bitmut, Dub Elements y Psykobitchez, son los previstos para aportar su habilidad a este nuevo proyecto.

"Bipolar" sigue añadiendo puntos para considerarlo uno de los mejores discos de 2007. Llega la 4ª Edición del FESTIVAL ALMARAP El próximo fin de semana tendrá lugar el que uno de los festivales de hip hop con más categoría que se celebran en Extremadura. Un festival por el que en ediciones anteriores han pasado artistas como Tote King, Solo Los Solo, Hablando en Plata, Rapsus'klei o Dogma Crew, y que este año da un paso más en su crecimiento abriendo sus puertas a artistas internacionales. Una cita en la comarca de Campo Arañuelo, en Cáceres. Más concretamente en la localidad de Almaraz, donde durante los días 24 y 25 de Agosto podrán reunirse los incondicionales de los 4 elementos.

El viernes 24 estará dedicado al reggae y los sonidos jamaicanos, con un cartel en el que destacan nombres como CHULITO CAMACHO, THC SOUND SISTEMA, KATCHAFAYA SOUND & BLACK LION, LA TRIBU SELEKTAH o MUSTAFA YODA, entre otros. El sábado 25 pasamos al rap con un cartelón que incluye monstruos estatales como FALSA ALARMA, GORDO MASTER, GRANPURISMO & HAZHE o DJ JEKEY e internacionales como DJ VADIM y FOREIGN BEGGARS desde UK, entre muchos otros nombres de no menos nivel.

Todo esto aderezado con Campeonatos de Break, Concursos de maketas y de Graffiti, Exhibiciones de Skate y Video Proyecciones. Además durante el festival dispondremos de Acampada Gratuita y Acceso a Piscina. Vamos, todo un festivalón! Y a un precio de risa: 20 euros. EditorsPick: Elspeth Savani put aside her classical singing to study Cuban percussion and dance, and she's been singing for, and directing, the Seattle based 12-piece Cuban charanga band Zarabanda (formerly Yerbabuena) for almost a decade now. Gallo Que Canta, produced by percussionist Michael Spiro, is the fruition of those years of clearly great love and respect for the music and culture. Listen to "Rompiendo La Rutina" and you'll find a rare purity of spirit. And many of the tracks exude a formal beauty, a richness that only seasoned musicians that are dedicated to the form can induce. The sweetness of Savani's voice can, at times, eclipse all else. And that's not a bad thing. There are a number of Lucumí references here, and Savani can make inviting what some might have difficulty approaching ordinarily. I especially like her rendition of the jazz standard "All of Me." And her take on Alvaro Carrillo's "Un Poco Más" is simply stunning. The band is top notch, with violinists Anthony Blea and Irene Mitri, percussionists Spiro and Tom Bergersen, tres player Fred Hoadly, flautists Sabra Weber and John Calloway, bassist Jeff Norwood and many others. And while the core of the material on ¡Esta Es Mi Rumba! is clearly rumba and folklore Cubana (guaguancó, yambú, columbia, palo), their repertoire does cast a wider net by encompassing the folklore of Puerto Rico and elsewhere. Sicá, yubá, cuembé, holandé, seis corridos as well as la plena, güiro, bembé, abakuá and comparsa are performed at their live performances as well. Directed by percussionist Hector Calderón Torres, Yubá Iré is also made up of Diego Centeno, Jose Camara, Victor Emmanuelli, Edgardo Hernandez, David Atanasio, Paoli Mejias, Felipe Del Valle, Samuel Gascot and others. This is classy, groove-driven, dance music that, at it's best, sparkles like a gem. 1. Comment vous êtes-vous rencontrés et comment avez-vous démarré le projet Muévete Bien Sabor Latino ? Hervé : Nous étions deux étudiants en Histoire à Toulouse, sud de la France. Nous sommes rencontrés dans cette ville d’abord pour notre passion pour la musique ska. Je tenais à l’époque une liste de vente par correspondance de cd ska et Cédric reste toujours un gros fan du groupe Madness. Notre première rencontre fut à propos de musique et pas d’Histoire ! ! !

Aussi on étaient deux amoureux de Célia Cruz, Oscar D’Leon, Ray Barretto et du label Fania… Mais à cette époque, nous étions plus investis dans la musique jamaïcaine. Cédric s’est installé à México comme coopérant pourle service militaire en tant que professeur d’Histoire et de Géographie dans le DF. C’est ce qui a tout déclenché ! Nous avons pas mal voyagé ensemble dans le pays, également au Belize et au Guatémala, Brésil, Venezuela… Nous avons décidé de monter un label de disque parce que nous voulions construire un pont musical entre l’Amérique Latine et l’Europe. Nous voulions montrer aux Européens que la musique latine, ce n’est pas seulement des rythmes traditionnels ou de la salsa. Donc nous avons produit nos premières compilations latinos, appelées Resto Pollo Rico, présentant sur chaque cd 18 groupes latins jouant du ska-reggae-rock-cumbia-rap et de la fusion latino ou du son mestizo, des compiles très ouvertes musicalement et très festives ! Avec Muévete Bien – Sabor Latino, nous voulons promouvoir ce que les Latinos ou les musiciens influencés par la musique latine enregistrent ici. Notre série Muévete Bien est basée sur des groupes résidant en Europe. C’est notre réponse aux compilations Resto Pollo Rico ! Et comme vous pouvez le constater, nous aimons beaucoup les musiques métissées ici !

2. Quel but cherchez-vous à atteindre avec ce projet ? Nous voulons mettre en avant les groupes inclus dans cette compilation. Nous voulons partager cette musique avec le plus de personnes possible. Ni Cédric ni moi ne gagnons d’argent avec notre label et nous avons beaucoup de problèmes pour équilibrer les comptes. Cédric est professeur et je travaille dans une bibliothèque. Donc nous faisons cela uniquement par passion après notre job respectif. J’espère que cela sera plus facile pour ces groupes de trouver des dates de concert si cette compilation a de l’impact !

3. C’est le deuxième volume de la compilation. Que peut-on attendre de nouveau sur ce disque ? Beaucoup de plaisir et de découvertes musicales, j’espère ! ! ! Je gère un programme de radio, et je suis DJ sur quelques concerts ou festivals. Et cela ne me dérange pas de jouer de la rumba avec de la salsa, quelques titres brésiliens aussi, avec des tueries ou des titres métissés. Le public est parfois très surpris mais toujours ravi. Donc cette compilation me sera très utiles pour me sprochaines soirées ! 

4. Qu’est-ce qui la différencies du premier volume ? Sabor Latino vol.1 était très salsa, comprenant des groupes uniquement installés en France, avec une déclinaison de divers rythmes latins comme un chachacha, un merengue, une cumbia… + un salsamuffin et deux titres électro-latino. Sur le volume 2, il y a aussi beaucoup de salsa, mais comme nous voulions faire un disque différent du premier volume, nous avons choisi plus de titres métissés et ouvert la tracklist a beaucoup de groupes espagnols. Nous avons construit ce disque comme s’il s’agissait d’un programme radio avec quelques jingles vintages et des présentations vocales. J’ai réalisé l’ordre des titres et mixé tout ça avec Laurent, notre webmaster, à la maison. Nous avons acheté dernièrement de meilleur équipement sonores pour pouvoir travailler dans des conditions de qualité optimale. Manu de Patate Records (Paris) a fait le mastering. Et je pense que le résultat donne une tracklist originale et très intéressante !

5. Comment avez-vous choisi les 18 groupes de cette compilation ? Il y avait quelques combos salsa que nous n’avions pas pu inclure dans le volume 1. Nous avons choisi quelques uns de leurs titres récents pour les placer dans cette nouvelle compilation. Et quelques groupes sont aussi rentrés en contact avec nous suite à l’édition du premier volume. Je suis allé à Barcelone pour rentrer plus de groupe encore, des managers, des labels, des DJ’s… Nous avons une petite distribution sur place grâce à Ventilador. Nous sommes en contact avec beaucoup de groupe de Barcelone et nous voulions associer la rumba gitane à ce projet. Il y a beaucoup de connections entre la rumba et la salsa. On peut entendre de la rumba en Amérique Latine et les rumberos catalans font beaucoup de versions de titres salsa en rumba ! Cédric se charge de la majeure partie web de notre label. Il gère www.myspace.com/sabordiscos et www.onvibes.com/sabordiscos . Il répond à la plupart des e-mails que nous recevons. Il surfe à la recherche de groupes intéressants. C’est comme cela qu’il a rencontré Kysha 25 par exemple. Nous discutons énormément pour le choix des groupes et des titres. Certains groupes ne sont pas sur cet opus parce que ni Cédric ni moi n’avons pu nous mettre d’accord sur un titre ! 6.Merci de nous présenter les artistes et leurs pays respectifs de cette compilation.

VICTOR HUGO est un excellent chanteur du Venezuela. Il vit à Londres. SONANDO est un combo français avec trois chanteur d'origine cubaine. LA CONTRABANDA et BATAZO sont aussi des groupes salsa français, basés à Paris avec de grosses sections de cuivres. RADIO MALANGA, de Barcelone, joue un mix d'afro, soul, reggae, le tout dans une ambiance rythmée et très latino. Nous avons choisi un forro accéléré et tueur d'ORQUESTA DO FUBA, un groupe brésilien basé à Paris. Pour le titre samba, nous avons choisi MADRUGADA (à ne pas confondre avec le groupe pop-rock suèdois !) qui sont des amis de Bordeaux. De même de Bordeaux, MELTING POT ORQUESTA avec une chanteuse cubaine, j'ai fais le DJ sur quelques uns de leurs concerts ici. Il était temps de concrétiser notre amitié. Nous avons sélectionné KYSHA 25, un groupe salsa-rap original, LOS VAN VAN comme invité, pour un titre très dansant. Je pense que DELDONGO est l'artiste salsa français qui a le plus gros potentiel aujourd'gui. Il chante essentiellement en français et en espagnol avec des textes humoristiques et des chansons d'amour. Il a de très bonnes mélodies. Ne rater pas son « Caminos Peligrosos » sur notre compilation ! Depuis Barcelone, voici les PATRIARCAS DE LA RUMBA, je les appelle « Le Buena Vista Social Club » de la rumba catalane. 5 vieux chanteur gitans issus de 5 familles différentes, chacune avec leurs techniques de chant propre, chantent sur une rumba métissée de salsa. Ils sont excellents en concert. C'est une de mes meilleures découvertes de 2007, pas moins ! ! ! SABOR DE GRACIA est le backing band des Patriarcas. Sicus, le leader et chanteur guitariste, produit tout. De Colombia et vivant à Paris, VANNY JORDAN est un excellent artiste reggaeton chantant sur de la salsa et des percussions ! Du vrai salsamuffin/salsaton. SI SEÑOR nous a séduit vace leur titre influencé par le trio ORISHAS. Ils sont basés à Pau près de chez moi ! On suit leur carrière depuis le début, nous sommes très fiers de présenter OJOS DE BRUJO qui joue un mixe exitant de flamenco-hip hop, aussi de Barcelone ! Nous avons édité leur premier album qui a eu un grand retentissement en Colombie et aux USA. OCHO Y MEDIA de Paris présente ici un titre inédit enregistré en concert, un boogaloo très dansant ! Jimmy Lopez est professeur de timbales à l'école Abanico de Paris. Il est aussi le leader de LA NUEVA EDICION, un excellent combo salsa de Cali, Colombia, avec des influences hip hop dans le chant. Pour terminer notre sélection, aussi de Barcelone, nous voulions absolument présenter ce groupe de qualité, BARXINO, mixant en concert ordi électro avec percussions, chants latinos et vidjaying… un très bon concert et musique métissée !

7. Que pensez-vous de la scène latino en Europe ?

Je pense qu'il y a beaucoup de groupes intéressants ici, avec de très bons musiciens, vraiment inventifs et originaux. J'aime beaucoup les groupes métissés et musicalement aussi. Le problème c'est que ces groupes ne sont pas très connus et ont beaucoup de difficultés pour jouer régulièrement en concert. Par exemple à Paris, il n'y a plus de clus salsa programmant chaque semaine un concert. Un DJ coûte moins. Les danseurs salsa ont oublié de défendre les concerts et dansent toujours sur les mêmes titres de Marc Anthony. Mais j'ai la chance de vivre dans une région où il y a beaucoup de festivals latinos : Tempo Latino à Vic Fezensac, Toros Y Salsa à Dax, Latinorock de Cauterets, Bodeguitas en la Playa à Hossegor… C'est excellent mais pas suffisant pour que les petites formations puissent rencontrer leur public… Je me rappelle des festivals en Belgique qui sont géniaux, avec un public merveilleux et mailleur qu'en France, chantant, dansant, encourageant les groupes à jouer... Nous sommes allés en Allemagne et en Hollande l'été 2005. Et nous avons vu de très bons concerts et rencontrés des gens très sympas là-bas. Nous projettons d'aller faire un tour en Italy et en Grande Bretagne sous peu...

8. Quel est votre musique préférée si vous aviez à en choisir une ?

Ouf, c'est très difficile de répondre quelque chose. Je collectionne des 33T de soul-funk, jazz, rock, electro, latino et musique jamaican, afrobeat, fusion world… En musique latine, boogaloo et salsa représentent les meilleurs fusions musicales. Je compare souvent la soul au boogaloo jusqu'au rock steady, la funk à la salsa jusqu'au early reggae (pour l'aspect soul de chaque musique : el alma del barrio !). J'aime la basse, les percussions et le trombone... C'est pourquoi je suis plus proche de la musique noire et latino américaine et caraïbe, je pense !

10. Avez-vous plannifié de nouvelles sorties futures ? Nous projettons de faire la toute nouvelle Resto Pollo Rico 3, deux compilations Muévete Bien : une appelée Sabor Mestizo Vol.2 et l'autre Sabor Latino 3 (avec plus de groupes salsa européens cette fois-ci !)… D'ailleurs si des groupes sont intéressés par ces projets, ils peuvent nous contacter. Et nous travaillons sur le deuxième album de Flor Del Fango, du rock mexicain et hispanique de Paris incluant des ex-membres de la Mano Negra….

Le sud du Pérou a été touché par une catastrophe naturelle terrible, un séisme d'une magnitude 8, force exceptionnellement dévastatrice, qui laisse très peu de place à un espoir rapide de reconstruction morale et matérielle parmi une population qui subit déjà de plein fouet la classique pauvreté d'un pays du tiers monde dans un système économique défaillant depuis des décennies. La collision des plaques de Nazca a encore fait des dégâts et les répliques se font encore sentir, plus de 300 à ce jour, dont l'une de plus importantes de magnitude 5 fait encore craindre le pire aux localités de Cañete, Chincha, Pisco et Ica (villes de plus de 150 000 habitants détruites aujourd'hui de 30 à 70%). Les habitants dorment dans les rues, privés de toit (plus de 16 000 familles), d'aliments, d'eau potable, d'électricité et de moyens de communication. Le nombre provisoire de morts atteint plus de 500 personnes et plus d'un millier de blessés, l'état d'urgence est décrété dans le pays, mais les pillages des magasins et des marchés se succèdent dans un désespoir humain naturel de survie, et cela parmi des villes coupées du reste du Pérou à cause des routes et des ponts détruits par le néfaste tremblement de terre. Dans ce moment difficile pour nos frères péruviens, nous tentons au Pérou et en Europe de nous organiser afin d'apporter, de la manière la plus efficace et aux populations les plus touchées, une aide ponctuelle, surtout alimentaire et médicamentaire. C'est ainsi que notre association sociale sans but lucratif « Bienestar-Perú », créée bien avant la catastrophe et basée à Ica (l'une des villes les plus touchées aujourd'hui) s'organise afin de venir en aide aux populations les plus misérables de cette région. Nos membres sont des bénévoles, exerçant notamment des professions dans le domaine social et médical, enfants du pays et de la région comme moi-même qui, bien que vivant en France, occupe le poste de vice-président de cette institution. C'est en tant que tel que je me permets de m'adresser à vous, afin de solliciter votre aide financière dans un élan de solidarité, qui, nous espérons, saura vous concerner. Notre équipe est déjà à pied d'œuvre et organise, en ce moment même, des convois de nourriture et de médicaments depuis Lima vers le sud. Nous avons besoin de vous afin de pouvoir acheter un maximum des produits de première nécessité et de les faire parvenir le plus tôt possible aux familles les plus démunies que nous connaissons très bien de par notre travail associatif. La colisión de las placas de Nazca ha nuevamente hecho daños y las réplicas todavía se hacen sentir, más de 300 hasta hoy, y la más importante, de magnitud 5, hace todavía temer lo peor a las localidades de Cañete, Chincha, Pisco e Ica (ciudades de más de 150 000 habitantes destruidas hoy del 30 al 70 %). Los habitantes duermen en las calles, privados de un techo (más de 16 000 familias), de alimentos, de agua potable, de electricidad y de comunicación. El número provisional de muertos supera las 500 personas con más de un millar de heridos, el estado de excepción ha sido decretado en el país pero los saqueos de tiendas comerciales y mercados se improvisan, en ciudades aisladas del resto del Perú a causa de las rutas y puentes destruidos por el nefasto terremoto, dentro de la desesperación humana natural de supervivencia. En este momento de dificultad para nuestros hermanos peruanos, intentamos en el Perú y en Europa de organizarnos con el fin de aportar, de manera la más eficaz y a las poblaciones más pobres, una ayuda puntual sobre todo alimenticia y de medicamentos. Es así como nuestra asociación social sin fines de lucro " Bienestar-Perú " basada a Ica (una de las ciudades hoy las más destruidas), creada antes de la catástrofe trata hoy de ayudar a las poblaciones más pobres de esta región. Nuestros miembros son voluntarios profesionales, nacidos en la región, como también yo mismo quien, aunque viviendo a Francia, ocupa el puesto de vicepresidente de esta institución.
