La asociacion LA TINA, en colaboracion con GUAKISMO PROD los invita al primer festival Guakarrete de St. Seurin de Bourg el dia 18 de Julio del 2008, el cual contara con la presencia de 5 bandas y 2 dj, show que comenzara a las 18:00 hrs, con la participacion de la facultad de medicina de bordeaux 'Los Teoporos'. posteriormente a 20:00 hrs la escena estara a cargo del grupo se salsa bordoles 'PRIMOSON', grupo formado por una familia de chilenos que os hara bailar al ritmo de la salsa newyorkina y los mejores titulos de la salsa y merengue mundial. A 22:00 hrs. el espectaculo continua con lo mejor del Ska Inca, animado por el grupo parisino 'INTI', quienes se han presentado en los mejores escenarios en Francia, y disponibles en todos los bacs de Fnac y Virgin store. y quienes sin duda os dejaran llenos de energia para continuar a las 24:00 hrs. con la nueva revelacion de la fusion latina en Francia a cargo del pluricultural grupo bordoles 'GUAKA', quienes despues del lanzamiento de su primer album el pasado 15 de marzo en completa autoproduccion, comienzan a figurar en diversas radios en Francia, Espana y Sudamerica, y se perfilan como una de las mejores bandas del nuevo mestizaje de los ultimos anos, siguiendo las trayectorias representadas por la Mano negra, Manu chao, Sargento Garcia y de la familia de la radio chango. La fiesta sigue su curso para presentarles a 02:00 hrs, al grupo de rock chileno Difuntos Correa, en gira por primera vez en Europa. Este grupo se ha presentado en los mas reputados estadios y teatros de Sudamerica, a su haber, tienen 3 albums grabados con EMI music, los mas representativos premios de la musica existentes en Chile, un brillante disco de Oro, el sponsor oficial de la marca americana Converse, y ahora su primera gira europea que los ha presentado en suecia, Espana y Francia. Con un potente rock chileno, esta banda os hara vibrar con la nueva tendencia del rock mas austral del mundo, ya que sus integrantes vienen desde la patagonia en directo a St. Seurin de Bourg, para compartir con el publico frances una noche de alegria y fiesta. Despues la fiesta sigue con la participacion de 2 dj's, lo que promete de este festival uno de los acontecimientos del ano. JAH ON SLIDE (SKA ROCK STEADY / En tournée au Japon en janvier 2009)

Ces 6 parigots affectionnent particulièrement les pionniers du Ska 60's et les Anglais des années 80 qui ont su redonner vie à cette musique avec le mouvement Two Tone. Faisant un mix entre le ska 60's et le ska revival avec des textes en Français et Anglais, Jah on Slide s'affirme depuis plus de 8 ans à travers l'Europe et dernièrement le Japon, en ayant partagé la scène avec les plus grands : les Selecter (UK) à Bologne (Italie), avec les Gladiators (JAM), Desmond Dekker (JAM), avec Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (JAP), en plateau avec les Bad Manners (GB) lors de leur tournée en 2001, en tournée avec les Toasters (USA) en 2002. Le groupe à toujours eu la volonté de jouer hors de le France et de fait ils ont réussi a travailler et à se faire connaître à l'étranger en travaillant avec les labels spécialisés dans le ska à travers le monde comme aux USA, JAPON, ALLEMAGNE, AUSTRALIE, RUSSIE, SUISSE, ITALIE, HOLLANDE, BELGIQUE etc… En 2007, une tournée au JAPON leur a permis d'éprouver leurs singles avec succès au pays du soleil Levant. Un DVD de cette tournée sortira à cette occasion en début 2008... Le dernier album «PAROLE DE RUDE BOY» est composé de 12 titres allant du ska 60'S au ska 80's avec un esprit plus encore plus engagé. Il a été reconnu par les critiques comme un album vraiment réussi sur le plan musical et notamment par une presse pas forcément spécialisée dans le ska comme Rock'n Folk, Télérama …. Cet album a permis au groupe de pouvoir encore jouer plus à l'étranger et notamment au Japon en novembre et décembre 2007 face à un public désormais conquis lui aussi. GASTON LE FERVENT (JAVA SKA ROCK / En tournée en Australie de fin décembre 2008 à début janvier 2009)

... en route pour la Gouaille avec leur dernier album " Marjolaine " sous le bras et des participations sur les compils " Faites encore plus de bruit 3" et "Zic de Zinc 3" de Wagram...

Le groupe palois Gaston le Fervent navigue dans un univers " zic a zinc " ,où ils font virevolter une atmosphère de ginguette alternative avec leur java ska rock urbaine à réveiller les sens, proche de la Mano Negra, des Babylon Circus, des Hurlements D'Leo, des Clash et autre Kusturica... ils distillent des chansons joyeuses ou introspectives et mélancoliques voire satiriques, fidèles à leurs origines, le monde, l'énergie, la rage, mais toujours dans un but ultime: la fête. C'est dans ces lieux ou il fleure bon pastis frais et volutes de fumée épaisse que naquit en 1998 Gaston le Fervent... L'une des formations les plus revigorante de la scène rock française. RONAN RONAN (CHANSON BRICOLEE / Ex banjo des Fils de Teuhpu /En tournée en Australie fin octobre 2008)

Banjo et chanteur des Fils de Teuhpu depuis leur création, Ronan a choisi l'aventure solo en 2003 pour concrétiser des envies plus intimes. Il s'entoure alors d'une kyrielle d'instruments acoustiques et d'une pédale de boucle, pour composer des chansons de bric et de broc, réalistes et poétiques, légères et chargées à la fois. Avec une approche ludique de la superposition, Ronan/Ronan se livre petit à petit, accumule les chants et les sons, installe tranquillement son univers émouvant et rigolo. Sur scène il construit entièrement sa musique en direct, donnant à ses concerts un côté spectaculaire où le public se prends à reprendre en coeur ses mélodies accrocheuses. En janvier 2008 sort Copié/Collé, autoproduit, disponible sur ronanronan.free.fr Ronan actionne sur scène un énorme fatras sonore tout en conservant le banjo steady beat et le ska particulièrement festif qui firent la gloire des Fils de Teuhpu, et la jubilation du public reste intacte. Ronan fait de l'expérimentation sonore, bidouille, s'amuse, créant son propre univers, drôle, ludique et poétique à la fois. C'est aussi un spectacle très visuel, à la limite du théâtral: sur une étagère derrière lui, dans un joyeux bric-à-brac coloré, une platine calée entre un jouet (musical bien sûr) d'enfant et un carton à trésors, donnent à ce concert un côté bande dessinée où le musicien, dépassé par sa propre technologie et embarqué dans sa propre folie devient un personnage à part entière. Fort d'un bric-à-brac électronique -avec une parfaite précision musicale- il enregistre deux mesures d'accordéon, un coup de cymbale, un gratouillis de banjo, et tout cela devient une bande son composée au nez et à la barbe du public. Il peut alors chanter dessus sa petite poésie surréaliste réactivée de gags divers. Un sourire sympa, une dégaine farceuse et une étagère à tiroir... Véritable homme-orchestre, Ronan Ronan, seul en piste, vous remonte une salle comme une horloge. A la fois musicien, chanteur, clown et poete, Ronan Ronan est un spectacle a lui tout seul...

TRAIN'S TONE (ska jazz reggae/ Bordeaux)

Après un premier album salué par la presse spécialisée, le groupe de ska-jazz bordelais Train's Tone sort son deuxième album "Birth of Hope" sous le label Patate Records. Cet opus rassemble 14 compositions riches en couleurs et en influences, dans l'energie d'un ska mêlant le feeling du jazz et du swing, et l'empreinte roots du vieux ska jamaïcain. TRAIN'S TONE, c'est un peu de reggae, beaucoup de ska, teintés de jazz et d'autres pigments créant une palette de couleurs assez large pour un répertoire de compositions originales et quelques appropriations de notes d'artistes référents comme le groupe américain Hepcat ou le grand Ray Charles. Une grande place est laissée à l'improvisation de tous les musiciens, qui se prêtent au jeu facilement: la sauce finale s'appelle ska-jazz, dans un esprit "oldies" costumes de scène à l'appui !

METISOLEA (ROCK ELECTRO LATINO / Bordeaux)

Savant mélange alliant scratch, guitare andalouse, électro, cuivres, cajon et plus encore, Metisolea' s'est surtout fait remarquer pour son énergie rock. Après un premier disque « Volume 1 » en juillet 2006, Metisolea' présente aujourd'hui son deuxième album « La chute et l'envol.2 ». Enregistré au studio Rock&Chanson à Talence par Pascal Ricard, le mixage a été laissé entre les mains et les oreilles expertes de Stephan Kraemer( Pleymo, Enhancer, Yann Tiersen, Jack the Ripper…) au jetstudio à Bruxelles. www.myspace.com/metisolea __ THE HEATMAKERS (rock steady ska reggae / Marseille) Le groupe est né en 2006 sur les cendres encore chaudes de la formation ska/reggae 60's les « Parkinsonians », splitée suite au départ de son batteur . A l'occasion d'une date, le line up se restructure autour des cinq restant, et voit pour l'occasion certains changer « temporairement » de poste : « Le Kuat » passe ainsi de la guitare à la batterie et « RP » échange sa trompette dorée contre une rutilante six cordes. Depuis le temporaire a pris des allures de définitif, et le groupe a du revoir sa façon de jouer : orgue et sax montent au créneau dans les instrus tandis que le chant solo cède progressivement du terrain au duo… Le ska, qui nécessite des cuivres est un peu abandonné au profit d'un reggae qui se veut résolumment « early » c'est-à-dire représentatif du style des origines. Reggae ne rime pas encore avec rasta : le son est « rough », influencé par tout le spectre de la musique black des fifties et des sixties. Des influences d'hier, que les cinq membres revendiquent au présent. Du Rock'n'roll vaudou au Jazz le plus lounge et de la Soul made in Motown au Funk le plus crade, le groupe ingurgite des litres de musique « vintage » pour cuisiner son reggae à la sauce Heatmakers. Cette mixture, le groupe l'a déjà servie sur les planches allemandes, suisses et hollandaises. Leur premier EP est à paraître juillet 2008 sur le label marseillais « Five Pleasures ».

DISCO DEL MES FANIA RECORDS 2008 The Alegre Record Story

1957-1977

En el año 1975 la disquera Fania tuvo la oportunidad de adquirir la compañía de discos Alegre Records. Fundada por el carismático Al Santiago en la ciudad de Nueva York, la disquera Alegre fue una de las más admiradas e importantes en la historia de la música Latina. El catalogo de la incomparable Alegre Records cuenta con numerosos discos clásicos de ritmos afro-cubanos y hoy en día es considerada como una de las disqueras más trascendentales de la era dorada de la música latina.

Alegre se dio a conocer a través del estilo musical llamado la pachanga, además, la compañía produjo discos por muchas de futuras súper-estrellas, incluyendo al (cofundador de La Fania) Johnny Pacheco y el célebre rey del mambo, Tito Puente.

Al pasar de los años, Alegre obtuvo una merecida reputación como una de las disqueras más innovadoras en el mercado, con álbumes clásicos de grandes artistas como Chivirico Dávila, Orlando Marín y Roberto Roena.

Ahora, por primera vez, La Fania lanza al mercado la definitiva antología de Alegre Records. El álbum doble contiene 23-canciones de las estrellas de más renombre de Alegre. En 1968 el famoso conguero Ray Barretto lanzo al mercado un disco único y extraordinario llamado Acid (Acido). Inspirado por el movimiento "hippie" de los años sesenta Barretto creo un álbum que combino los ritmos afro-cubanos con las melodías de la música popular norte americana. El resultado es una grabación reconocida como uno de los principales discos de la década de los sesenta. La mezcla de las melodías latinas con el sonido contundente de las manos duras de Barretto se encuentran disponibles en una nueva mezcla digital, y además cuenta fotos y notas sobre la obra maestra de Ray Barretto.

RECORD OF THE MONTH FANIA RECORDS 2008 The Alegre Record Story

1957-1977

Back in 1975 Fania Records acquired the legendary label Alegre Records. Founded by the charismatic Al Santiago, the New York City based Alegre Records stood as a powerhouse of hard-hitting Latin sounds, releasing classic albums and forging an independent identity as leader in afro-Cuban rhythms.  The innovative label was behind the dance craze known as pachanga, and released records by many future superstars, including a young Johnny Pacheco and the celebrated king of mambo, Tito Puente.  Over the years, Alegre built a lasting reputation as one of the most inventive and exciting record labels in the world, with classic releases by beloved artist like Chivirico Davila, Orlando Marin and Roberto Roena.

Now, for the first time, Fania Records is releasing the definitive musical history of the mighty Alegre Records with an astonishing 2-disk retrospective. Produced by Bobby Marin, The Alegre Records Story lovingly captures all of the best tracks from the beloved label. All the tracks have been digitally re-mastered and the compilation includes exclusive photos, as well as in-depth liner notes. This long awaited collection, with 23 tracks, promises to be the ideal anthology for discerning Latin music fans.

Das ZK empfiehlt: Solidarität!

Endlich, der vierte Sampler der Reihe „Das ZK empfiehlt“ aus dem Hause „Mad Butcher“ ist erschienen. Wie gewohnt wurde er erstellt auf Initiative und zusammen mit der Gruppe „Sozialistische Kultur Arbeit“ (SKA) Gütersloh und der „Cable Street Beat-Strictly Antifascist“ Gruppe Gütersloh (Antifaschistische Musikvernetzung mit mittlerweile 10 Gruppen in der BRD). Diesmal werden sie noch unterstützt von der internationalen Vernetzung Antifaschistischer Gruppen „Antifa Net“. Anlass ist das Motto unter dem dieser Sampler steht, nämlich die Solidarität mit den russischen Antifas. Wie nötig diese ist, wird in dem schicken 24-seitigen Booklet dargelegt. In diesem findet ihr Informationen zur Situation in Russland, den Organisationen der extremen Rechten, ihrer

Ideologie und dem Kampf der Antifa gegen die

Rechts-Entwicklung. Der komplette Überschuss der CDs wird direkt an Projekte in Russland weitergeleitet um die Arbeit vor Ort zu unterstützen.

Auch musikalisch spiegelt sich das Konzept der internationalen Solidarität auf der CD wieder, die Songs des Samplers wurden von Bands aus ganz Europa und Russland zur Verfügung gestellt. In bekannter Art und Weise bieten sie eine abgerundete Mischung aus Punk, SKA, Hardcore, Reggae und Northern Soul. Auch die FreundInnen des Hip-Hop und des Traditionals werden bedient, aber nicht mehr, als die anderen ertragen. Also ein ZK Sampler, wie wir ihn kennen, für alle ist viel dabei, aber bestimmt auch ein Song, den ihr gar nicht mögt. Um Euch den Mund wässrig zu machen, hier die beteiligten Bands: Open Season, Los Fastidos, Atatassiagröp, Microphone Mafia, Talco, Marcus Pepper Love Revue, Kai Degenhardt, Rejected Youth, Davis Hillard and the Rocksteady 7, No Relax, Pannoia Allstars Ska Orchestra, Angelic Upstarts, Redska, Razor Bois, The Movement, Red Union, Blaggers Ita, What We Feel, Three O´Clock Heroes, The Oppressed, Klowns.

„The ZK wants: Solidarity with the Russian Antifascists“

Now available : The fourth cd-compilation in the „ZK“ series. As usual it was created with the help of the „Mad Butcher“ label. The CD was again initiated by the groups „Socialist Culture Work“ and Cable Street Beat-strictly antifascist“ Gütersloh. (CSB is a cultural antifascist Punk and Skin network with more than ten groups in Germany).

This time these groups were supported by the international network „antifa-net“ and a political group called „Fördebande“ from Flensburg.

The reason to release this cd was because of the situation of Russian Antifascists. They are under massive pressure through the state, nationalists, rascists and nazis and they need our support.

The Russian situation is documented in the professionel 24 page booklet with english text and brilliant photography. You will get a complete overview about the extreme right in Russia and also about the resistance of the Russian antifascists. We have to stop them, they shall not advance! The money generated from the sale of the CDs will be sent to Russia to assist them with their involvement in their political struggle.

21 international music bands gave us songs for this project. They come from all over Europe and Russia.

As always you will get a brilliant mixture of best Punk, SKA, Hardcore, Streetpunk/OI, Reggae, Mod and Northern Soul staff. But there are even songs for the friends of Hip-Hop and Traditional.... but not too many, we promise!

This is a ZK compilation that we know and love! And YOU will love it too!

The swedish punkband Down and away started in 1998 after the breakups from other bands. Down and away was formed by David, Marcus and Cupless, who had known eachother since playground. In 2002 Cupless dropped out from the band and the stand in-baseplayer was The face (Saibon, The Pricks) who later became a full member of the band. After a couple of demos Down and away released their first album "Whos´s got the deliverance!?" on Rockstar records in 2001. The band did a couple of europetours and released thir second album "Set to blow" in 2004 on Rockstar Records. Between the fullength releases a MCD and a couple of singles got released. Since 2001 the band have done around 100-150 shows around Europe and have started to make themselves a name i the punkscene. A new album was recorded in december 2005 and will be out in spring 2006, and as usual they deliver a sing along fiendly album with alot of energy. Down and aways music can be described as hardhitting streetpunk with alot of catchy melodies.
